  1. Minutes of 2008 meeting: accepted as true record.


  1. Treasurers report:


The treasurer, is not around.


Actions: Adam and Jonathan to chase Paul French.

Result: Paul got in touch, we have £96 in the bank.




  1. Teams for the 2009 Season:


The following teams were confirmed for the 2009 season:

Nokia, Easams , Fernhill, SUN, EDS


It was agreed that we would like to include a few more teams if possible.

Visa are a possibility. EDS are not sure, they will confirm in next few weeks. Surrey Heath Borough Council will not enter a team this year, due to difficulties raising a team. Easams will not be entering two teams.

It was agreed that all current teams will follow up with prospective entrants, and that we would extend the deadline for entry until Friday 10th April 2009. Entries must be received by the league Chairman by that date.

  1. League/Cup Format and Rules:


It was agreed that the new cup rules introduced in 2007 were a success, and it was agreed to keep both cup and league rules unchanged from 2007.

a) leg side wides

To captains and umpires please consider speed and skill of bowlers when giving leg side wides leaning to leniency in the cup format.


b) neutral umpires will be used in the cup final, eg non playing captains, to be agreed upon by both finalist's captains or if there is a problem the league chairman

c) if you have a reduced team, win toss and decide to field the other team is not obliged to supply substitute fielders, but it would be nice.

d) suggestion to have 2 games per team per week from the outset was voted down, but obviously at the end of a rain affected season it may happen

e) cup final to be played as soon as possible after finalists decided, not at end of the season FA Cup style.

f) home games can be played at another venue ONLY if both captains agree

g) please send scorecards to website- details TBC

h) Rob from EDS will be looking into an awards/dinner night

  1. Fixtures:

Fixture list will be compiled in late April when we have confirmed team numbers. The fixture list will be published on Friday 25th April. The first game was agreed to be played when the council confirm pitch readiness, probably on Tuesday 5th May 2009. NB Last game: Thursday 27st August.
